The world is changing faster than ever before, and at DI’s Annual Business Summit, five corporate leaders offered their suggestions for how Danish businesses are to handle the changes.
Understand and take advantage of globalisation! These were the key words describing the opportunities that Danish businesses will meet on the other side of the largest crisis since World War II. The message came from five prominent Danish business leaders at the round table discussion “Imagine Tormorrow” at DI’s Business Summit.
The participants were to discuss how Denmark finds a role and a market in a new world.
Several of the business leaders, including Vestas CEO Ditlev Engel and FLSmidth CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen suggested that the key to Denmark’s future lies in understanding and accepting other cultures.
It is both about attracting the best brains and about understanding the market that is waiting out there. And it is absolutely neither a smaller nor less exciting world that is waiting at the other side of the recession, said Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen, A.P. Møller-Mærsk.
“The future growth in consumption in countries like India and China will offer fantastic opportunities for Danish companies,” he said.
