Hartmann was part of the OMIC solution from May 2004 to October 2006. During these 2.5 years, we developed the foundation for our current set-up in China. This set-up now consists of a manufacturing plant in the Suzhou-Singapore Industrial Park outside Shanghai, which has been established to support our sales activities in China and the neighboring countries.

Starting up a sales & production entity in the Chinese industry is not an easy task. The intransparent nature of the country’ business climate and the intense competition in China’s markets – especially within business-to-business sectors – make it a challenge to gain a strong foothold. This was also true in the case of Hartmann. We needed time to learn about local conditions and we needed a firm and stable local platform on which to gradually develop a precise business strategy.

Hartmann was very pleased to use DI-Asia Base’s OMIC solution as this platform. OMIC provided us with a local representative and a reliable daily business environment, which was very useful in taking the company through the early phases of establishment to where we are today.
